STA will be offering grades 1-8 Summer School this year. Ms. Sunni Eilers will be Principal. The dates are Monday, June 15th through Friday, July 17th. Summer School registration begins this Saturday, February 29th at 9:00 a.m. and ends Monday, May 11th at 8:00 a.m. Program information can be found at http://sfsta.org/summer. Ash Wednesday Mass is tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26th, at 8:30 a.m. in the church. You are all welcome to attend. Every Friday during Lent, our students attend the 8:30 a.m. mass followed by the Stations of the Cross. You are also welcome to attend.
Jog-A-Thon is this Thursday, February 27th, with PLENTY of volunteer opportunities. You can sign up at http://sfsta.org/volunteer. Register now at http://sfsta.org/jogathon. Simply enter your name and email address, then click register and follow the instructions on the screen. Please get all pledges in as soon as possible. The donations help support the Sports Program. GOOOOO TOMCATS!!
Next Monday, March 2nd, is a minimum day with dismissal at 12:30 p.m.
Come join us for STEAM Family Night next Friday, March 6th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the auditorium, Science Lab, and Computer Lab. There will be lots of new hands-on and exciting activities for the kids. Sign up for service hours or pre-order pizza dinner at https://sfsta.org/steamnight.
Please join next Sunday, March 8th, for our 9:30 a.m. Family Mass hosted by the third graders.
Spring pictures for Preschool-8th will be taken on Wednesday, March 11th. The students will have free dress for their picture. If you would like your children to have Preschool-8th sibling pictures taken, please let the office know.
Also, Wednesday, March 11th, is the PTG Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Childcare will be provided.
The Scholarship Fund for Students (Boys and Girls Scholarship, grades 3-8 only) at STA will be accepting letters of application, beginning today. Letters of application will be due on Wednesday, March 11th. Please refer to page 19 of the Parent and Student Handbook for more information.
The Archdiocese of San Francisco offers financial aid for K-8th. You would need to go to www.tads.com on the Internet for the application and directions on what to do. The Archdiocese’s Department of Catholic Schools reviews the completed applications, ranked on the basis of financial need. Late applications will NOT be considered. The Archdiocese will announce Elementary Family Grants to elementary families and their schools.
Chocolate Chip Cookie sale is on Friday, March 13th.
Pizza Bingo Night is also on Friday, March 13th, at 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the auditorium. If you are interested in volunteering for this night, please sign up at http://staptg.org/pizza. All proceeds go to STA Sports.
The Annual Gala and Auction is just around the corner! Celebrating STA’s 70 plus years in providing quality education in the Richmond District, join the STA community on Saturday, April 4th, from 5:00-11:00 p.m. at the historic Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel on Nob Hill! This is the main fundraiser for PTG, which is working to raise money this year and will be a very special evening of alumni, current STA families, and community. If your family or business would like to buy an ad in our program book, sponsor, and or donate to our fundraiser, please see the attached forms. Grades 3-8 sports of boys’ baseball, boys’ basketball, and girls’ basketball registrations are now open. All registrations must be completed on line at http://sfsta.org/register.
If any parents have taken pictures at school events, such as Field Day, Halloween Festival, etc., please submit your photos to Mrs. Lockwood (1st grade teacher) as soon as possible to be included in the school yearbook.
